Spacious suite with amazing bed
We spent a night in a junior suite, and wow, that 7ft bed was something else! Staff were super friendly, even when our room wasn't ready right away. Lunch was tasty but the wine should've been chilled. The spa was a bit underwhelming, though, with a cold hydrotherapy pool. Would still love to come back, great stay!

Our double room was top-notch with a relaxing view of the lake. We had complimentary Wi-Fi, a Nespresso machine, and a lounge in the room. The location was central, ideal in a nearby pub which was excellent.

well-kept rooms, reasonably priced, with walk in shower and the bedroom, for instance. lovely pool, perfectly comfortable location in the restaurant which was very good. also - just next door to the local areas such as bowness on windmere or trailing the crags and fells, grasmere centre, and england's lake district.

Noise levels after 11pm can be bothersome, particularly in rooms like 102, where views come with the downside of late-night disturbances. The breakfast room lacks energy, resembling more of a cafeteria vibe, which diminished the dining experience. Alternatives nearby are more inviting. The pool area feels cramped and becomes uncomfortably warm quickly. Daily housekeeping starts knocking at 9am, which might throw off the leisurely vibe many guests desire. Lastly, certain amenities, like slow Wi-Fi and a small shower head, left room for improvement.

The Daffodil Hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the lake and only a short walk to the centre of Grasmere Village. It has recently been refurbished and was in pristine condition. The staff were friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about walks in the local area. The food was excellent. We unreservedly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a wonderful location and is very luxurious. The staff were very friendly. Our room was beautiful inside and spacious, despite being the lowest grade available.
Breakfast was mainly buffet style and I would consider the quality mediocre for this level of hotel.

The price we paid was excellent and we were upgraded to a superior room on arrival. The room was fantastic with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and a superb bathroom. The views from the room were lovely. We ate in the restaurant In the evening which was lovely and the breakfast was very good. The reception and restaurant staff were all very pleasant. It was only a five to ten minute walk into grasmere and ten minutes drive from ambleside. It was our first visit to the lake district and staying at the daffodil hotel made it a very memorable experience. Thank you!

The hotel has recently been bought and completely refurbished to an excellent specification, with super views in an ideal lakeside location. The internal design is lovely and very well thought out. We like the pictures on the walls in partictular. The restaurant and the food offering is also excellent. It is very well run, with excellent staff, who look after everyone with a smile. Any problems or enquiries are dealt with wonderfully well. We hope to visit again soon.
